Children study in the Primary School from pre-school age (3 - 5 years old) and then from Years 1 - 6 (5 - 10 years old). They study English (written and spoken), mathematics, science, art, computer basics, history, geography, music, physical education and literature. Russian is taught both as a native language and as a foreign language. All pupils follow the broad, stimulating and balanced educational curriculum. For those children for whom English is not their native language, ESL (English as a Second Language) classes are provided as additional language preparation.
Pre-school Curriculum (Nursery, Reception for children aged 3 / 4 years old)
At this age young children are prepared for Primary School and develop communication skills with each other. Lessons are taught in English. During lessons, children are involved in different games and role-play situations, developing speech skills and the ability to listen, read, write and count. Art, music and dance lessons help children to open up and learn to think creatively.
Much attention is given to exercises and games which encourage the development of conversation, visual memory, the ability to listen, and the widening of a broad vocabulary. Songs, verses, stories, and lessons in creativity and art all make the lessons more interesting and less tiring. Children also start to learn to read in English.
Educational aids and lessons in class encourage the development of coordination and motor skills in children, the ability to ask and answer questions, think independently, and also form the skills of communication and self-discipline.

Pupils in Years 1 and 2 are offered a wider curriculum in all subjects. Lessons aim to develop skills necessary for reading and writing. History, geography and science are taught, as well as art and physical education in line with the English Curriculum. Russian is taught in different groups depending on the level of pupil knowledge.
Key Stage Two (7 - 11 years)
At this stage more difficult subjects are introduced and children continue to build on knowledge already attained in previous disciplines. From Years 3 - 6 particular attention is paid to the individual work of the pupils, with practical lessons and research projects.
