Post-Sixteen Studies (Sixth Form)
On successfully passing IGCSE exams, pupils can continue their studies in Years 12 and 13. In Britain this period is traditionally referred to as the Sixth Form. Subjects are studied in much greater detail, according to the IB (International Baccalaureate) curriculum. With successful grades at IB level, pupils can enter various western universities in the West. The British International School is an officially recognised centre for these examinations.
.
The British International School pays great attention to the physical and emotional well-being of each child. Sports training is taken seriously, and pupils often go on educational excursions, field trips, and carry out research. The school theatrical studio is popular with pupils. Pupils are encouraged to take an active part in school life, and to develop initiative and independent thinking.

In school there is a Careers and University Guidance programme which supports school-leavers. The programme helps pupils to choose the right university for them and oversees the registration of all necessary documents.
